Candles in the Arts

Candles in the arts symbolize illumination, beauty, guidance, and enlightenment, sparking knowledge, excitement, and transformation. The dancing flame of the candle embodies our mission: to foster greater access and acceptance of the arts, enhance community engagement, and promote health, wellness, resilience, and restoration, with an emphasis on military families.

About Us

The Wilson Foundation for the Performing Arts and Sciences (WFPAS) is a resource for strengthening participation and practice of the arts and sciences in the United States.

Our aim is to cultivate the development of emerging and existing talent to sustain the resiliency and well-being of the American people, with an emphasis on military families.

Our Priorities

We seek to create and support pathways for all communities to gain exposure and participate in exemplary arts and science education and training.

Artist & Fellows

The Wilson Foundation is honored to introduce the Artist-in-Residence and Fellows Program. This signature program will support and cultivate notable artists and professionals through their creative expression of the human experience. Through financial sponsorship and opportunities, Wilson Fellows will be able to explore and connect the visual arts, dance, and cultures beyond classroom education, student interaction, instruction and community connection.

The Wilson Foundation’s Inaugural Artist-In-Residence is Latrice Ann Pace.
